Immigration authorities deported a record 392,862 immigrants over the last year,
 Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Wednesday.
About half of those deported — 195,772 — were convicted criminals,
 also a record, Ms. Napolitano said, and an increase of more than 
81,000 deportations of criminals over the final year of George W. Bush’s presidency.

The first federal court decision on the constitutionality of the new health care reform law 
upheld its validity and dealt a well-deserved setback to opponents who are trying to overturn it.
We can only hope that judges presiding over 15 or more other legal challenges
 follow the lead of this first major ruling.
